Immersion programs for students of SMA Islam Al Azhar 3 Jakarta create a comprehensive learning environment that combines language acquisition with cultural experiences, accelerating fluency and broadening personal and academic horizons. These can be tailored to different languages, duration preferences, and interests, making them accessible and impactful for students committed to language learning.

One of the immersion programs this time was to Japan, officially launched by the principal of SMA Islam Al Azhar 3, represented by Mr. Mukhamad Nurochman, who is also the head of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Terminal 3 on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 5 a.m. The immersion to Japan was attended by 28 students from SMA Islam Al Azhar 3 Jakarta, consisting of 13 IBDP students and 15 regular students, accompanied by three teachers: Ms. Popon, Ms. Tanti, and Mr. Yedi.

The Japanese immersion program will last nine days, with three days and two nights spent in a homestay to learn firsthand about Japanese culture and language. Staying at a hotel in Tokyo, they will also participate in other activities, including visits to Tokyo International University (TIU), the Kikoman Factory, a high school, the Tokyo Cami Islamic Center, and Tokyo Disneyland. They will also travel to Mt. Fuji and stay overnight at the hotel. They continue their travel to Hamamatsu, Aichi, and Kyoto.
