JAKARTA – SMA Islam Al Azhar 3 has once again demonstrated innovation in student assessment methods. On Friday (19/12/2025), the Multi-purpose Hall was transformed into a vibrant stage for SENDRATASIK—a grand performance of Drama, Dance, and Music—presented by all Grade 12 students.
This event served as a Collaborative Practical Examination, integrating three key subjects: Indonesian Language, Entrepreneurship (PKWU), and Arts & Culture. Through this integration, students were challenged to not only master theoretical knowledge but also apply it within a professional performance management framework.
The event was officially opened by the representative of the YPI Al Azhar Directorate, Mr. Tun Abdur Razak. In his opening remarks, he expressed high appreciation for the school’s initiative in providing a platform for students’ artistic talents while remaining aligned with the Al Azhar educational curriculum.
“Looking at the enthusiasm and the quality of the performances today, we can see that character building and cultural preservation go hand-in-hand here at SMAIA 3,” he stated.
Each class presented a unique interpretation of traditional Indonesian folklore from across the archipelago. Beyond acting and choreography, the students’ entrepreneurial skills were evident in their management of the production, ranging from stage decoration to logistics and budgeting.
The vibrancy of SENDRATASIK 2025 is expected to be a cherished memory for Grade 12 students before they head towards their final examinations. Furthermore, it stands as a testament that learning at SMA Islam Al Azhar 3—especially within the IBDP framework—is always filled with creative, holistic, and inspiring experiences.
